23hq responding slowly?

For the last few days I have had extremely slow response times from 23hq. It often takes up to a minute to load a page. It doesn't seem to depend on the time of day, either, and I am not getting slow responses from other sites. It seems quite unusual. I wonder if anyone else is also having this problem.
EDIT: For example, it took 1 min 10 sec to post this message.

Yeah, same here.
It looks like it isn't network. Maybe database troubles?

The response time has been excellent yesterday and today. You must have fixed the problem. Thanks!

Yup, forgot to actually post back here -- but we had a spike in traffic and needed to tweak some server settings to accommodate. Always welcome...

Hi Steffen, can you please tweak again? The response times are below an acceptable limit for iPads. Desktop browsers are slow but still in an acceptable range. /talking about the forum in specific.

I'm wondering if this is a geographic thing -- because I'm seeing pretty consistent response times across pages and even in the forum. I don't have an iPad handy, but tested on a few older iPhone without any issues.
Is you iPad online on the same network as the desktop?

Hamburg - actually not that far away from Copenhagen. I am also puzzled because iPads and Mac Chrome behave quite differently although accessing the internet from the same WLAN.
