As a new user of 23, I have a question:
Is there any way to replace a photo, without deleting and reuploading?
Here is an example, which shows why one would want to _replace_ a photo:
I've uploaded a photo, which has been fav'ed and commented on. I then realize the uploaded photo is the wrong version of the shot, for example lacking exif-info. Now I'd like to upload the correct version of the photo without loosing the comments and favorite status.
Kind Regards,

There is a replace function (more of a hidden feature) ... quote from somewhere around the forums:
Try this hidden option: http://www.23hq.com/(user_id)/photo/(photo_id)/replace

Wow! It's working. I'm saving this because it might come in handy. Why not make it a feature?

Thank you IkoTikashi!
It works so far as replacing the photo, but unfortunately it doesn't update the exif, so even if I replace a photo, mistakenly uploaded without exif, with one which includes the exif - the exif-data is still not showing...
Still, it is good to know that it is possible to replace a picture - however obscure this feature is.
Thanks again,
b4light

The thread Corax is linking to is this one (we moved support into photogroups about 6 months ago which is why the thread got a new url)
As yes, the exif thing is in fact by design -- whether good design or not. Basically, replacements is made to *only* change the actual photo, but none of the meta data (be it view count, comments, exif data, tags, favorites etc). So at least there's an explanation ;-)
