Blogging to Wordpress.com

I tried setting up one of my wordpress.com blogs. The blog setting page did the auto-detect thing and I filled in my username/password etc.
But when I try to blog a photo, I get this error:
Error: The blog returned the error “HTTP_ERROR {HTTP request failed due to "bad option "Invalid url "https://delipity.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php": ": must be -code, -errorcode, or -errorinfo"}”
I had no trouble setting up & posting to a self-hosted wordpress blog, but I can't seem to get my wordpress.com blogs to work.

Okay, I figured it out. :)
the endpoint is a simple http:// not https://
I changed that and it worked.
Your auto-discovery routine might need to be updated?
