Hi guys,
I've upped the our Spam Alert to Orange -- this means that such comments should be caught nicely in spam filters. Please let us know if you see any more of them.

I fully agree that these are spam comments, but they're not added by script. This makes it fairly tricky to handle the comments in any meaningful way: We want people to be able to post comments and we want them to be able to include links. I would have hoped that Akismet had a handle on these kinds of comments, but apparently not...

the kk118 guy just spammed again on one of my pics and I hit the spam button . must have been third time by now.
btw, "great" as a comment is flagged as spam too...

Yeah, I know -- we're switching away from Akismet later today to see of this causes an improvement. Along with some other measure against spammers.

We just changed our spam detection engine a few minutes ago. Hopefully, this solves some of the problem. Apart from this we are working on additional ways to combat comment spam. Hopefully, they'll be active by tomorrow.
Until then, be sure to mark the comment as spam.

Yeah Nanna,
I got a spam comment too.
Luckily the scale was quite limited, with the comment being posted manually and on only a few photos. It doesn't make it any less anoying, but it's virtually impossible to guard against: Since we actually want people to leave comments, leaving comments should be possible ;-)

Sorry, the link isn't called "delete comment".
Rather you'll see to options: "Delete" and "Spam". If you consider the comment to be spam, click the latter link. This will help improve our spam filtering.
