Photo's on the main page

Some of the pictures on the main page lately have been a bit, ah, explicit.
You may want to add a review period for new accounts before making their pictures public as flickr does, or add an 18+ warning page up front.
Not to be a prude, but stuff like this makes it less likely I'll upload pictures of the kids for Grandma to see.

I think this is not an easy issue.
I understand grandma will be shocked (well, grandma might get a link directly to ur page, thou), as (potentially) users might.
On the other hand, I personally dislike censorship. Where is the limit, who is able to set it? Is a naked beauty ok? Are open legs bad? I don't know. Who knows?
What's up with religious or politic topics?
23 says its the user who's responsible, so if it illegal, that's one point, if it isn't, it's another...

The issues not that hard. Print the picture, show it to your Grandma. Ask her if it's okay for her grandkids to see.
Or decide that you don't want her (or her relatives as clients).
And let's be clear, I'm not talking about artistic nudes here...
23 already has a policy that pictures with nudity should be private no?

I guess the other point was that it's more about the 23 home page than about all public pages.
Who should decide what image the home page presents.
3 of the last 10 times I checked, it seemed to be asian porn spammer's who were setting the tone. Not sure that's the best choice, asthetically, financially or legally.
Perhaps limiting the photos that appear in "just in" to those from plus accounts, and/or those with other submision at least N days ago?

hmm, to remove some kind of images from frontpage by cathegorizing the stuff might get hard.
1. it's random
2. how would u say sth is not good for grandma without manually checking
3. also PLUS-members spam 23hq with such stuff

23 could manage this by only showing images that have "at least one comment", or "more than one comment", or some other stuff like viewed/opened more than ...times.
This would result in not everything being displayed anymore, but it may extract lots of spam and also uninteresting stuff, and more put a focus on the images whcih have been worth some commenting.
not 100% save, but..
on the other hand, it's often the "uninteresting" stuff which i might call interesting. so, we see, everything has its downside.

Good discussion.
We'll be changing the photos shown on the homepage and build-in some logic for avoiding the photos on other pages like /just-in/.
We've been blessed by not having to many of these problems before - so we're new focusing on building tools to deal with this.
You can help by emailing us with tips of material in violation and by clicking "report this photo" on nude photos.

I'd hate it if the just-in page would only show photos with comments. I visit that page daily to find new people to subscribe to - it's a great place to find "hidden gems" and new users.

Is there a way to not display the pictures on the front page? There's been a photo of a naked person on there for weeks. I can't even check the site while I'm at work. I just want a way to see only my photos and/or groups.
