cannot upload multiple photos at once on chrome

In the default uploader, I cannot select multiple photos to upload.
Chrome 28.0.1500.95 on Linux 32bit

Uploading via Flash uploader is fine.
(But I cannot switch Flash uploader directly.
In the upload page, I need to click 'Basic uploader' link.
Then in basic upleader mode, click 'Flash uploader' link

I think the reason is that we've traditionally led Linux users away from the Flash uploader -- simply because Flash was flaky on Linux for years. I've changed the policy now so should make it a bit easier to get to the page?

Now multiple uploading on default upload works.
