unless shit is incriminating you should let all comments run or turn the comments off completely. Theres nothing wrong with telling someone their shit is whack. By only letting compliments run youre giving people a false perception of what their peers think. whether people admit it or not they do care.

As much as I believe that negativity always brings bad vibes, I think that the guy above me speaks the truth. As long as it isn't name dropping, spot dropping, or blatantly harsh then it shouldn't be deleted.
minkus September 26, 2008, 08:13 PM
You know what, I used to believe that way too! When I first started, I didnt delete comments even if people left comments about stuff being "whack". But as time goes on, it gets out of hand.

Comments like that only cause arguments, which leads to threats, and etc. I understand that what I do gives a "false perception" but thats just how it is.

From my end, you have no idea how many comments I delete because of name dropping, spot dropping, and threats to other writers.

I leave the comments on for the purpose of "critique" which is what people dont do. Instead of commenting and saying "That is whack" Other writers should comment by saying what could be done to make it better. When you say " thats whack and sloppy"....how does that make the writer better? But if you said, "maybe you should make that line one continuous line instead of combining 3 short lines together, then it wouldnt be so sloppy". Then that writer will go home and practice it so the next time they come back it will look "neater". Know what im saying?

Why dont you leave your name? Lets see what comments people leave about you. Give me your name and i'll leave every comment thats made about your pieces/bombs.

If someone says your shit is "whack". I "trust" that youre not gonna respond back in a negative way...right?

Or do what everyone else does too....use a fake name to make comments about someone else.

you have some good points but i say let writers figure shit out for themselves. so how about just turning the comments off instead of letting writers get their ego stroked by toys.

Dear (whoever is leaving these comments),

I shouldnt have to. If anything, how about I just stop posting flicks. Ive gone through it before and dont really want to do it again.

Real writers WONT talk shit about other writers even if theyre stuff is "whack"! You guys are in the same game. Everyone should respect each other. This isnt gangster graffiti!

Honestly, I havent gone out to flick stuff as much as I used to. Mainly cause im busy doing other things, but I do it because I like the art. I dont have to post the flicks. I can keep it all to myself.

One reason I leave the comments on is cause it enables me to communicate with some writers...so if I see them in a ditch painting, we have some kind of "connection." People freak out when they see me sometimes but if Ive chatted with them through comments...makes it easier to break the ice.

dear minkus September 28, 2008, 11:42 AM
looking at flicks on here is a fun little past time between masturbating, but i could care less if you stopped posting flicks.
minkus September 28, 2008, 02:13 PM
At least youre not masturbating to the flicks....thats a good thing. In any case, im just gonna do what ive been doing and still gonna delete "whack" comments.

hahahaahahahha! That's funny... lol!

I agree with Minkus on this one - so many people spend so much time on insulting each other and making threats from behind a computer screen - waste of time... if you are a writer, get out and write! If you are a painter, get out and paint! If you have beef, settle it the writer's way - settle it on a wall! Everything else is just posing and posturing...

And Minkus - hope you don't stop posting them... it's good to see you doing what you do out of love, and writers and fans alike appreciate it... besides - if you didn't, what would the internet gangsters have to fight about?! Which pornstar is hotter?! hahahahahahaha! ;p

minkus September 29, 2008, 08:10 AM
Nah...I dont plan on stopping. Ive just been doing it in slow-mo. I still dont know why people are hating on me, im not even a writer...just a stoopid ass photographer.
minkus September 29, 2008, 01:40 PM
people aren't hating on you. to be honest, they could care less about you. believe it or not, people visit the site to look at flicks. period
225 September 30, 2008, 04:43 AM
Glad to hear it, Minkus ... and you are not a "stoopid ass photographer" - photography is vital to this scene... can you imagine it WITHOUT photographers?!
minkus September 30, 2008, 06:13 AM
True. Before I started flicking, I used to see bombs all over the place, and now that I think about it, most of them I can remember...only by memory. By taking these pictures, Im documenting the graffiti of the current time.

My grandkids or generations after will be able to compare....and will consider these times "old school"

trife September 30, 2008, 06:24 PM
^hahaha. that's funny to think the stuff now will be old school one day. very true.
genius October 01, 2008, 03:47 AM
I think I've solved the problem. You need to take pictures of women so we can continuously masturbate, even when we visit your site.
minkus October 01, 2008, 07:04 PM
good idea
ker(e)sones.thefinest October 10, 2008, 01:10 AM
