Group for former Flickr users who don't like censorship.

Screw closing my ID, what about the discrimination?

willgolden plus   March 31, 2010, 04:36 PM

I cancelled my pro upgrade at Flickr.

Censorship is one thing, but downright discrimination is too much. We all know the mod who's responsible for the bigotry not just at Flickr, but all across the internet. Well he has more than once nixed me just because I am disabled.

I was born fully sexually challenged but found that naturists were all-accepting. So my sexless naked pix were all over Flickr, but ALL RESTRICTED. Still I have been c losed down or edited out of sight many times over. So why should I pay my torturers?

All my pix have been migrated to Snapfish and I will gradually bring them in here. However, I am not sure, but it seems 23 does not permit public nudity. But at least they don't want to burn me at the stake!

Other than that I am just fine thanxxx, how are you all? LOL!

I commend you on your actions. CENSORSHIP IS WRONG AND DANGEROUS!

I had the same experience with flickr. Flagged and deleted for no reason.
The only thing i like about flickr are the comments: lots of them! and flickr seems to be the only one to have such an active community, a pity no doubt...

Hi RipRap! That was dead weird.

That message you just posted.....

I commend you on your actions. CENSORSHIP IS WRONG AND DANGEROUS!

..... it seems like I predicted it 5 times! I never said a word. I only posted one message and it was the first one!

Weird!

I agree Mark. But I can't help feeling that if I made all my naturist photos here public, I would be outa here quicker than an English sunburst.

I guess all the sites look at nudity through the perversion of their own eyes. But my beef with Flickr was definitely the Blond Bigot! Even the sour taste of censorship can be swallowed as long as everyone gets exactly the same (equal) dose!

Update: I kept on mailing Flickr asking WHY my account was deleted (''if i don't know what i did do wrong how can i prevent it in the future'') and finally they told me why; they claim it wasn't me in the pictures ! WHAT? O-O
I change my appearence a lot so yes, i look different from time to time but those idiots didn't even took the effort to look closely because i'm sure they 'ld see it's me.
They didn't warn me, or ask me, no, kaboom, account deleted. Assholes.
I even wonder how can someone proof it's you in the pictures if they claim it's not?

What i don't understand from the people of 23 why don't they comment. Some pics have over 1000views and no comments...The fun of photosharing are the comments!

Mark,

23hq uses the same basic software as Flickr.

So why I wonder do they not set up a "restricted / moderated / safe" flagging process.

Then they would have ALL AND EVERY flickr account holder migrating here, not just you and me. Because they are all pissed off with Terence Philbin!

Simply "private" and "public" is no good whatsoever.

Naturism is a NON-sexual lifestyle and itself BANS any sexual activity or content across its locations and websites. So it is not explicitly sexual, simply because, by definition, it is NOT SEXUAL AT ALL.

Also I organize one of the "World Naked Bike Rides", which is a naked cycle environmental protest in the streets of 70 cities in the world, where at least 10 million people of all ages have already seen us. It is fully legal and endorsed by the civil authorities and police governing those locations. Nothing to censure there, then!

But even if the photos from both the above criteria are fully morally compliant, .......they cannot be public without a flagging system, can they? Even I accept the civil right of people NOT to see what they don't want to.

I don't want to see violent or sexual images, so I would expect those to be restricted.

So....... how do I find other people with a naturist interest or lifestyle, or who have an environmental or event interest in the bike rides, if all their photos are private?

There does not seem to be one complete photoserver on the internet. They are all missing body parts! .....a bit like me really lol!

Hugz, Will
