ANIMALIA

Well, there is no blind. There is the hotel entrance with the open stair, and next to it the feeder area. When I went outside, the whole flock went up into the next tree. In spite of it being a rather cold morning did try to sit calmly with the nose to the ground on the stair, pretending to totally ignore them. So after 3 minutes the first bird came back, taking grains from the other side of the feeder but looking at me all the time. I got a few shots but then my husband came through the door -- the brave one and other birds slowly getting near again evacuated themselves to higher branches again and Karl grumbled about making some way up whilst the valley is still cool and foggy, so this was it. I had a lot of oportunities to view the cute redpolls during our stay, but never got any better shots. :o(
