White storks are, according to the Collins guide, up to 110cm tall, no idea if that counts standing as we see the living bird or a stretched specimen, but if a tall one wanders the path with families the bill is well able to reach into the baby buggy if it wants to. Compared to your Wood Stork it is very big of course, to a Whooping Crane, it is still a dainty wee birdie.
