Question about F-Spot

campino2k   June 15, 2008, 10:05 PM

Is there any possibility to make F-Spot "watch" a Folder for new Pictures, like Amarok does with Music and Picasa does for photos?

Hi campinno2k! - I am not sure where your question leads to. As I do not use f-spot, but digikam. Did you ever try digikam? And: What should be 'watched' by the program. Just an update in the database? Digikam looks everytime in the folders when it starts (it's possible to turn this off).

And a question that I have in mind for a longer time: If you already tried digikam - where do you see the differences and advantages of each program?

I have to say that I feel right content with the program... I even like to watch the going on development which is (as often in OpenSource, but here very much) promising! :)

At the moment I think f-spot doesn't support this feature, but it's already on the "wanted features"-list.
