Autumn Olive Berries ↔ Elaeagnus Umbellata
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Johnny Bee Rd., Pike County, PA. Full spectrum color photo... ✍ While beautiful & with heavenly scented flowers preceding them in Spring, this plant is non-native in PA and highly invasive. Hard to want to eradicate them, though, because the flowers and berries are sought after by wildlife. The roots of these plants also have marked benefits to the soil because they often harbor nitrogen-fixing actinomycetes. The berries are also edible for humans, by the way -- and they're delicious besides being very good for you =) |
