Full spectrum color, high definition photo… ✎ Closed in 2014 & abandoned completely in 2015 when Fernwood Hotel & Conference Center declared bankruptcy, and listed the entire $1.15M mortgage on the property among their debts. The hotel also accumulated more than $1 million in delinquent property taxes & about $150K in liens from utility bills on top of the mortgage. It was supposedly sold {some time in early 2018} for $2.5M to the Jinyin Temple of Sino Esoteric Buddhism --- a Buddhist group based in Queens, NYC, NY --- which plans to turn the former hotel into a retreat center. The sale/purchase cannot be confirmed, however.... Meanwhile, the property's buildings are quickly succumbing to the ravages of nature & the elements. |
