Great work. Nice colors and one is not aware of seeing a dri-image at first sight (actually it definitely isn't a hdr-image, cause a hdr-image won't be displayable on a conventional screen).

HDR means High Dynamic Range. A conventional screen only can display a low dynamic range. So one takes a HDR and converts it to a LDR (Low Dynamic Range) by tonemapping. The emerging picture is named DRI-picture (Dynamic Range Increased), cause you (virtually) increase the dynamic range of the picture. Its just simple as that ;-). btw: afaik there are (very expensive) screens, that can actually display a HDR-image.

Motley bubblegum works very well in some cases. What I would try here is to add more power to the sky.
