No it is not... As far as I remember it is made with a single jpg-file. The lightning and the interesting structures came out while working on it with different programs. I must have used Digikam, Qtpfsgui and Gimp for it - and Qtpfsgui was just used for tonemapping on a normal bandwith of colours - not HDR. I sometimes use tonemapped pictures as layers in Gimp.
