There are cabins, such large enough for holiday rental or just shelter.
This howerver are "Heubargen" or "Heustadl" called tiny barns meant for dry storage of hay and the "Heinzen", which are some 3-legged devices to dry long grass fashioned onto it so it looks much like Cousin Id and his sibblings standing on the slope. Today they sometimes house powermowers or other stuff and the hay is removed fast, so they got drive in doors all way to the ground like this one, in old times when there was no SUVs the farmer took the hay not away from hard to reach slopes in one sitting and those things usually had a smal entrance and wooden floor several steps up to make it less inviting for mice.

Aaaahhhh.... Fascinating =) I thought they were temporary or emergency shelter for shepherds up on the slopes in case of sudden inclement weather....

Of course that was kind of a possible side use, especially very early in the season, when there where herders and dairy personal on lower elevation slope pastures having the animals take the first young greens whilst the alpine summer pasture level was still covered in snow. Although such a Heubargen is not the most comfy shelter, it should keep you safe from sudden hailstorms and suchlike. You see, it is not made for keeping wamth. It is built like if a log cabin would stay deliberately unfinished -- with open slits between the layers of tree trunks so any storm goes right through it, ideal for airdrying.
