The cellar and the ground floor belonged together. Here lived Ringo and Maureen Starr in 1965. In 1966 Paul McCartney had a little studio in the cellar. The apartment was lent to Chas Chandler who got Jimi Hendrix settled here. When they moved, Lillian Powell, Cynthia Lennon’s mother moved in. Later John Lennon moved in here when he and Yoko Ono had got together and Lillian Powell moved out and into the house in Weybridge. |
