als jemand, dessen begeisterungsfähigkeit bei tier-makros normalerweise in den unteren bereich abzusinken beginnt, muss ich hier wirklich mal anmerken, dass ich das beeindruckend finde. klasse detail! lebte das gute tierchen noch?

Danke, der Käfer lebt! war etwas taumelig als ich ihn fand und wärend der Fotosession. Hat sie aber wieder erholt.

It's a male one, as it has 7 antennas.

To the best of my knowledge we only have the common one here in the UK and even they are getting rarer (we have thus far had none here in the midlands but we have a lot of them in S. Wales). I have never seen Melolontha pectoralis but I think it can be seen in S. Germany. Its an excellent photo.

Klasse Bild mit tollen Details. Mir gefällt auch der schwarze Untergrund sehr. Nur irgendwie erzeugt die Haltung des Käfers auf mich eine... wie soll ich's schreiben... traurige Stimmung.
