I'll be doing a travel-wiki soon, but here are the basics:

Fly or take the overnight train (highly recommended!) to Trang, from there 45 min car + 45 min long-tail boat to Koh Mook.

There are three- four options for staying (Charlie Beach Resort (http://www.kohmook.com/), Sawadee Bungalows, Rubber Tree Plantation, bungalows in the village), ranging from BHT 200 (EUR 4,5) to BHT 2.400 (~ EUR 51) per night.

Everything was great. Go go go! :)

Seems doable and reasonable.
