If you're a hen party and you go to a gay bar, surely you just become a set of women drinking in matching tops? I know manchester's gay scene isn't exactly gay anymore (more loosely camp, like a musical voting show with John Barrowman), but how are you supposed to celebrate your 'end of freedom' with no temptation?

After rambling as I have I will concur with bere, it's very sharply taken.

depends on your self defined sexuality and how one is 'tempted' perhaps? hen parties do take place for those about to embark on civil ceremonies too wouldn't you think?

Yes, I think I should have said that the hedonistic attitude of Manchester's East has been watered down for a while now, and I'm not going to make assumptions about anybody, especially the subjects of the photo, but I think the institution of Hen/Stag nights does somewhat symbolize the loss of freedom, and therefore the uninhibited celebration of it, therefore temptation in the face of marriage.
