After we release the turbulence and air-sickness will [mostly] go away. Of course, that's when the fun really starts, as the plane is piloted [and powered] entirely by wits after that. That plane up there is dragging us to release altitude ... As you can see from the Altimeter, we are up around 1,000 meters. |

you should try a wench start. where you get pulled up to 300m in a matter of 15 sec.
As you say, the rush of wind is deafening. I took some video and you can barely hear my pilot over the noise. He said I could probably set my camera to NOT get the cockpit reflections, but I kind of like them.
I think the reason the pictures were so good is because I was practically gibbering in terror. The cockpit glass seems oppressive but doesn't really give you the sense of floating semi-reclined in a large metal coffin. Needless to say, this was a Fam. flight and I did not take up sail-planing!
