We had a large Hemlock growing very close to our house. It's pine-needles were starting to cause damage to the roof,driveway and sidewalk. Since it was getting so tall and was only 2 feet away from house, we had to take it down. We also had a White Birch a few feet from the house that was rotting down the center (it had broken it's top off in a wind-storm about 20yrs ago). It's remaining branches had gotten pretty tall. One large branch was leaning toward the neighbor's house.
