I like that you didn't feel it necessary to lighten the silhouette.

But I'm confused, it looks like a fly rod but the reel is wrong?

I guess at least part of the appeal of Cuba is they use what they have.

Yes, I meant visit now, before it's too late. By the way, is this photo "day for night" (i.e., underexposed in PP)?

Not underexposed as such, although I did darken the tones a little afterwards.
But mainly it was taken using the automatic settings of a little compact camera, which thought there was sufficient light for a 1/500 sec photo.
And part of the effect is also because I took the picture through a bus window as we were driving along the Malacon (Havana's shoreline boulevard). The bus window adds a bit of a greyish shine to the image.

Well the result is excellent. It looks like it was carefully composed.
