The right leg is drawn up (probably for warmth).
Either it hasn't spotted you or else you're far enough
away that it doesn't feel threatened.
Pretty nice picture, I think snipe are easily spooked.
Update: oh, you've got the Bigma. And at full zoom.
And on a crop body (I think - not sure about the D700).
No wonder it doesn't feel threatened.
(I love the Bigma; most of my animal shots are taken with this lens)
