Great marble textures.

What do you mean by "dyed with onion skins"? It sounds interesting but I have no clue how this works.

Hi Serge,
The raw eggs were wrapped in a nest of onion skins, then the eggs and onion skins were tied up in a little cloth bag and boiled in a dilute vinegar solution.

The cloth bags serve to hold the onion skins against the egg shells while boiling, and the vinegar serves to dissolve the natural onion colouring and help fix it to the egg shell.

The eggs can be eaten afterwards, if one wishes.

Larry, thanks for your explanation. I am going to try this.
