Very handsome. Was this a single exposition?

Thanks Paolo. That's a legitimate question ;) This image was realized with exposure bracketing and consists of 3 exposures: one for the scenery and two darker ones for the bright area around the sun. Blending the images was done manually with GIMP. Only the scenery exposure got a little Tonemapping effect within RAW-conversion, but no real HDR/Tonemapping software was involved.

Die Linsenflecken hätte ich noch gestempelt.. Ansonsten saubere Arbeit.

Thank you Daniel. I was right thinking this is too beautiful to be plain HDR :)

You did a great job, friend. Manual blending rules.

it's all about the right tool.. HDR can be beautiful as well.
Paulo Brabo Team 23 July 09, 2014, 06:42 PM
I would say that it depends more on the user than on the tool. It's too easy to be *too* spectacular when doing HDR...

Because of the tools themselves, restraint is too easily forgotten.

I say that because have learned with the Germans that you can use restraint, mastery and control and still produce the most spectacular of results =)

Thank you both.
@crazyrayman: Die Lensflares stören mich ehrlich gesagt gar nicht so. Jedenfalls nicht genug, um sie stempeln zu wollen;).
@Paulo: You are referring to football, I guess. I can't contribute to that, since I'm so not into football ;). But I agree with the point you are making, that restraint is an important factor in image editing. However, for sure there are motives and pictures where exaggeration can be helpful as well. It is always a matter of personal taste ;)

Tolle Aufnahme! Sehr energiegeladenes Bild...die Stromleitungen passen dazu sogar ganz gut:)
