i think in Brazil, as in Mexico, is common to wash your clothes by the river (in small communities), scrubbing them against the clean rocks by the river :) they smell like fresh-river water afterwards... am I right Kodaky? what do you think?

yes Bere, it is true.
Thilo, imagine a family who can't afford a washing machine (can't you?) and all the costs of operating it (energy, water, soap, bleach, softner...). The development and enrichment is unequal, isn't it???

Some small cities in Brasil, do not have energy supply!!! unbelievable, huh?

And besides this, think of what Bere said as a family tradition. They prefer the clothes washed by the river, because they feel it better...

Talking to these people, I noticed one more thing: they are not "tech addicted" as we are, they don't trust some of these "modern gadgets"; the TV is the only exception.
