Oradour again. On the village green in the background is where the 644 villagers were congregated on the 10th June 1944 for an "identity" check, before being seperated, men, women and children, and then taken away shot and burnt, the women and children slaughtered in the village church by the Nazi's before the Germans destroyed every building in the village.
