既に樹高は2m近い。成長が早いため、
毎冬、葉や実が落ちる前に枝打ち(丸坊主)、
室内でクリスマスの飾り(ドライ)に使ったり。
花壇に落ちてしまった実は、翌春簡単に
発芽するので抜きます。
