The Hiker (Part 2)

Tried some different postprocessing on this shot than on the other hiker shot.

In my opinion it was a mistake, there should be less mist (and so,
better contrast) underneath an overhang like that, but the detail
distracts from the subject of the picture. I like the other one a lot
better. This is only one opinion, of course!

Thanks for your comment. I'm always happy about constructive criticism. It's very rare that people give "negative" comments, most of the time you get only "positive" comments.

I like the contrast between the rock an the hiker, i like the trees in mist. In my opinion colors are a little bit "stylish" - but this could be an issue for screen and is only my opinion.
It is an eye catcher - and very different from what you did else. So go on, I'm curious what is coming next.

P.S.: Arnold Fanck inspired?

@m73a: It's a little bit difficult with the colors. I don't have a calibrated screen and it looks different between my laptop and desktop PC. I tune the colors to fit my laptop screen, so this can be possible that they are a little bit "stylish", but a little stylish effect was my intention. You are right about you last sentence, it is different to my former work. But I try new things from time to time and sometimes I post the results ;)

Nope the images weren't inspired by Arnold Fanck, never saw anything from him. I'm just an enthusiastic hiker and climber and love the nature and the landscapes ;)
