I have the feeling that this image contains significance that I don't understand. What is it? What I do understand is the clever use of a narrow depth of field that both draws me in and stops me dead.

They are stones with engraved names, birthday and the day of death. They rest beside a memorial.

@mangela: Weil die Steine wie ein Pfad aneinander gereiht sind und man an ihnen entlang läuft. Und mit Sicherheit jeder einzelne Stein bei bestimmten Leuten Erinnerungen und Gedanken hervorruft. Deshalb "Path of memories". :)

I like the way the stones are placed. I like that they also look little pieces of chocolate. I like the atmosphere. I like the colours that are greyish and brownish at the same time.

Something is written on to the stones but I cannot read it:
It's nearly impossible to get connection between picture and title. Without title the picture is meaningless to me.
No "WOW!" from me for DOF :-)

@Marvin:
As I wrote in some previous post, the stones are some kind of tombstones. Name, date of birth and date of death are written on the stones.
