Ja, das stimmt. Aber auch die Farbbilder sehen nicht zu schlecht aus. :)

This is really great! How do you do the tranlucency? I'll be looking through the css but I might as well ask.

It's here in CSS:
#allcontainer1
{
background: url(http://ise.is.ohost.de/wp-content/themes/06-cityscapesign-10/images/right.png) repeat;
}

The image is white and transparency is set to 50%, I think. That's all. And for the other elements, I just set background to none and so just the image appears, which is transparent. Really simple.

If you plan something similar, feel free to copy the right.png file and use it by your own ;)

so the transparency is given by CSS and the image itself is not transparent? aaahhh ok, nice, i didn't know that. i was trying something the other day for a web page of my friend and we made a transparent .png which of course looked terrible in IE (unfortunately some people still use this;-) so eventually we left it out.. will take a look at it again!

Hmm I just downloaded your "right.png" and I can see it's also transparent.. Do you know how your page look like in some older IE? is it still transparent?

The png-image is transparent and all elements in my CSS have no background. That means, that the transparent png-file appears as background. I don't know how it looks on older IE, because I don't use Windows. I'm totally on Linux since years and I don't care about an old fashion browser which can't display transparent png. ;)

:))) hehehe you are right! some people will never know how nice can some webpages be. their problem, not mine!

we only have archlinux here at home on both desktop and laptop and we are more than satisfied with it! after reading your About i thought you would be happy to hear that :)

I'm more than happy to hear that. As a developer you can't hear something better than satisfied users. :)
