Can't believe they died almost 7 years ago. Was Father's Day. I was out and about with friends who had a car--was a beautiful, sunny day. As we drove along, heard sirens screaming, firetrucks moving at the speed of sound behind us. Was tricky trying to get out of the way because the street was already blocked off. Firetrucks rolling like that, knew it was bad. Got home later and learned just how bad. Terribly sad day. Was the worst in FDNY history at that point in time.
