oh i think i've heard of this fruit!!
is that the very strong smell fruit? the super stinky one? did you try it?

yes it is :-) I'd rather go for the rambutans in front ;) In most parts of SE Asia shops have a No Durian sign on the door for a reason...

i haven't try it myself, but i have seen it in a big asian supermarket and my friend explained me about it... have you tried it? i wonder how is the texture? & the taste? i am not sure which ones are the rambutans, i would like to try those better, they seem safer, huh? :)

no I havent tried Durian - probably on my next trip to Asia.. the fruit in the foreground are longan (I think), some kind of watermelon, and the reddish hairy critters are rambutan.

rambutan is sweet and mild and juicy, somewhat reminiscent of lychee, and best eaten fresh and ripe
