An interesting chapel, it looks very old with that huge apse. Pre-romanesque? The fog in the hills adds a painterly quality to the whole scene.

This is the chapel "Saint Ivan Rilski" (Saint Ivan of Rila) situating near the Staro selo village (37 km south from Sofia). According to legend, Saint Ivan of Rila was known as the first Bulgarian hermit famous with his ability to perform a multitude of miracles in order to help the people.
