I love all these spiky ice images, but this one is truly spectacular! I hardly dare ask, but how cold does it have to be for this to happen?

I think it was about -8 or -9C. The fog at night makes miracles in the morning!

In fact, I don't like cold too and that day I even didn't cross my Fangorn Forest. ;)

However, I couldn't resist of the beauty and stopped several times on my short path to the Lab (late a bit, you know >:( ;)
