Headed up to Boston with my sister, we saw a sign for this along the road. Decided to pull off and try it out. If you can get there, GO THERE!!! Fully restored 1950s diner. One of the best I've been in--great prices, fabulous food and staff that treated us like old friends. While we were eating, a guy walked in and the waitress greeted him with, "Hey, I saw you drive up. I've got your place set and I'm brewing you a fresh pot of coffee." Don't get service like that too many places these days. And. To top it off, my sis and I decided we wanted to buy a coffee mug each (their mugs are classic diner mugs with a 50's era logo which I love.) Our waiter was gone quite a while hunting for mugs. Soon enough, he came over to the table and handed mugs to my sister and me. Asked how much for them to which the waiter replied, "O, there's no charge. We're out of the mugs we have for sale. These are used, but clean. You can just have them."

When I see these signs I think of pancakes with maple syrup (and never been in the U.S. ...)
I could die for them.
You are actually writing great restaurant reviews here, Dear Donna! :)
And Bookreviews as well..hehe.
I almost had the pancakes there--figured they'd do a great breakfast. But the burger and onion rings won out in the end! :)
