Hi Dhania,

this looks very yummy! How do you do your Onigiri? Is it Sushi rice? Do you have a good recipe for this?

Romy, the key to onigiri is (a) using the right type of rice and (b) using it lukewarm so it i stickier. These were made with a plastic mold you can get on ebay or in Asian grocery stores, just fill with some rice, add filling, top with rice, press and seal, unmold a while later.

You can use sushi rice, simply cooked according to the instructions on the bag. I use broken Thai jasmine rice because thats what I have at hand usually. It tastes a little different, and the broken rice makes it a little more sticky than usual long-grain rice. Sushi rice on the other hand is short- to mid-grain rice.
