Yeah, I got it Nov-Dec 2006, I recall. I've taken it to Africa Twice, Germany once and a short day-trip to Amsterdam.

My account picture is a photo of me taking a picture of myself in the mirror. The camera is wearing red "Camera Armor".

Don't know why I did that... :).

But at least I know got my question about what kind of fancy camera you have was answered. Thought about bying Camera Armor for my cam too when I got my first DSLR but my old Canon 10D and now 30D seemed to hold up quite good without it :-)

That's funny.

The camera armor has been a good investment. Nikons are tough, but that extra bit of protection against the usual bumps and knocks has probably saved me a few dings and scratches.

Really? How much was it?

I don't know if I'm gentle with my gear but my 30D doesn't really have any scratches after almost 2 years in service.

Camera Armor is about $50US list. I recall I paid about $40CDN because I bought the one they were using as a demo.

That's not bad. Maybe I'll buy one if I take the plunge and buy the new 5D Mark II :). If I get that camera I want to be sure it doesn't gets dings and scratches.
