i hope i get to see them one day with you :D
i know Portishead old material pretty well :) but i haven't listened to any of Third until live on Saturday, in part 'cause the album hasn't been released but also i wanted to hear it 1st live... was a great surprise!! not as melancholic and noirish as their older stuff, very trip-hope!! but then i love bands like Autechre, so it's perfect noisy for me!! and the contrasts of the noisy somehow overproduced techno, dirty electronics contrast wonderfully with Beth Gibbons voice, i am picking up my vinyl copy of it this weekend :)
