I can't fully understand your decision, but it's a nice foto anyway. :)

there's nothing wrong with using film, in fact i might try it again one of these days. (i have a whole shoebox full of prints waiting to be scanned to 23.)

i like the colors here. is the cafe's name a tribute to Borges, i wonder?

hi asher! thank you for your comments! yes i've been enjoying working with film again, it has its problems, you know? you can't check if the picture came out OK or delete it in the instant, etc. but the final results do have a different feel to them that i like a lot, it is just a different depth of field, you know? i was dealing with a very simple digital a point & shot so i was missing using a 'real' camera where you have to at least focus the elements

and very interesting your reference to Borges, i am not sure if the coffee shop selected the name because of Borges, i am familiar with his literature but the name doesn't sound familiar to me, does it appear on any of his books? thanks for stopping around my photos :)

"The Zahir" is one of my favorite of JLB's stories. The Zahir is something that you look at and can't get out of your mind. Eventually it drives you mad!

I actually got onto your photo site looking for the phone number to this place, because I wanted to know if they would sell me pita bread and tzatziki sauce for my boyfriend and I wanted to have some kind of grave leaf and pita fest with grilled veggies...but it is nice to make your acquaintance...so now I will leave before I seem like a stalker. :)
