Two Trees.
To get a more interesting perspective I took 4 pictures and stitched them with Hugin to a mini-panorama. I think, compared to the single-shot picture (see http://www.23hq.com/alopecosa/photo/3070491) the crossing of the road can be seen better.

This is a strong picture. Both trees have something peculiar. It is as if the big branches try to avoid each other while only the small twigs are touching. It looks like two trees investigating each other with caution.

And they are on a little island which gives it some lonely mood. The crossing of the roads is essential and emphasizes the loneliness. It is if you cannot reach them, but are driven away, no matter from what direction you are coming. You can only be a passenger-by of these two trees.
