The face of the Queen and details of the horses are better visible in the previous one. It's look a bit like an image after contrast mask. General view of this version is more contrast, indeed and makes the image more spectacular (imho). The both look fine!

and it's good you leave the tree! gives dynamics and life to the picture! :D

Thank you Gergana and Volker! I think I agree with both of you: in this case it was better to sacrifice some detail for greater impact. And glad you both like the tree. I thought about cloning it out, but now I'm pleased I didn't bother!
