Usually a sign the weather the next day is not as good, but I like such colourful phenomena too.

We often get whacky skies like this after storms clear out, but generally not before to indicate negative changes in weather. It's a bit odd -- has something to do with our proximity to the ocean or suntin ;)

We live in an chinook area at the southern end of the Linzgau, often are the last area in the flater land north of the alps to have sort of "nice"weather with sunshine whilst clouds pile up all around, so if the time is right before the bubble bursts we got the most spectacular sunsets with very dark nonpenetrated cloud layers atop the bright colours from the filtered low sun in whispy elaborately textured clouds. The downside is, the migraine sufferers usually are driven into insanity until it finally is finally blah and rainy and can not enjoy the spectacle well. :o)
