How fun.... You can strap on the cross country skis to get to your boat then have the option to water ski or just go boating ;)

LOL! Waterski on the Alpsee, what a concept...

There is a romantic rowboat rental on the south side near the beach, of course closed in the winter season. For any more serious water sports, also in the monts with "r"with a warm drysuit, nearby Forggensee is the address.

I suppose I shouldn't put the idea out there as some fool will be tempted to take the idea and run with it and ruin the peaceful spot for everyone ;)

I would not go as far to claim protection of natural resources and cultural treasures in Germany is perfect, but Alpsee and Schwansee are really in no danger.
