Royal District Tax Office II / Koeniglich Wuerttembergisches Nebenzollamt II
No public building today, only one with a historic marker and a reminder that Hofen harbour once was the first and only lake access of Wuettemberg. Incidently, it is in the first street outside the zone where you need to buy a billet for parking, already close to downtown shopping and the prettiest sights in town -- so, in 14 years I never cought it without a row of cars parked in front.... |

I can tell you we had far less difficulties when living in Saint Louis MO in one of the 4thStreet skyline towers to have almost always access to our permanently paid for underground parking space than in a german appartment block whith a gate on a backstreet in a midsized average town!
There they told us days ahead we would be either locked in or out during fixed hours at any big seasonal parade and suggested to take precautions if we need to use our car during the time, but here we sometimes try to drive up and out at any random day and some dolt's car it is parked outside unabashedly in the middle of the wellmarked exit -- with nobody sitting in for standby! :o(
