Zeppelin NT with advert for Caterpillar. Strangely I never got a sharp picture of it but this one looking like it flies into the other end of our appartment block / Zeppelin NT mit Caterpillar Werbung. Seltsamerweise erwischte ich von diesem Outfit nie ein scharfes Foto ausser diesem hier, das aussieht als ob er das andere Ende unseres Wohnblocks rammt.

I'd frankly have been happier if I cought it a few seconds earlier and whole , but then the forced perspective makes it look a little bit scary, like it bumps into the building. Of couse it flies well behind the house corner and somewhat higher than it seems to be, and reached the airport unharmed.

LOL -- we are all used to that sight I guess. This is Friedrichshafen-Wiggenhausen Sued, the very first solar appartment-block settlement of southern germany, just west of the airport. Zeppelin roundflights use to home in on their landing pad here, and I guess the people inside the gondola are told about just how innovative this was in the early 90's. So they leer down along all the solar panels into our yards like into the smal enclosures at the zoo to see if a critter supposed to be on display sits outside the box. :o)

As for the colours... it was very late in the day with very orange light. The whole block is a colour scheme of flesh, sand and pale gray that can appear very different according to weather and hour of the day. This is a view from the same window, but at an other angle and during a hailstorm:
