Thank you! I know well what it is, it is actually what for I insisted to peruse that wet track, having seen a curbside shot of someone specifying the convenient site. I had never seen a real bogbean that close up before,

Until now, I had never heard of this, let alone seen it! But an attractive plant and a nice shot.

Thanks Andy! It looks phantastic indeed, I fell in love from a photo on an interpretive marker by reserve staff at the Willhelmsdorf Nature Centre in 2004, but staying honestly on designated trails I needed that long to get close enough to some life specimen in bloom to take similar pics as his somewhere.

Menyanthes is a monotypical genus. This means, there is nothing else that is quite like it although the english suggest it to be a bean and the german it would be a clover, and in my own oppinion the blossoms recall vaguely some kind of fringed gentian.
