Luv how the grasses grow in them little islands in bogs =) Looks solid enough to walk on, but really isn't... Nicely captured!

Well this is not quite the Great Dismal Swamp, just a tiny swabian peatland remnant with the next drained lumber woods and corn fields within eyesight. Prohibition to step on it is more for preservation than for the danger to sink in over the head and drown. I have seen roe deer wade rather fearless about in similar bogs.
There are even a few peat lakes made into little daytime spa resorts, where you can swim about or float lazy hanging on a foam noodle in the reddish-black soup, then use a hosing area or shower house to tidy up again. It's believed to be good for you, detox and such... Personally, I prefer keeping dry in swamps, dressed in long sleeves also in summer and well seasoned with Autan -- welts from nasty horseflies are not my interpretation of skin improvement.
