Beer Cellar Door / Bierkeller Tuere

A 19th century brewery storage. Alas the restaurant belonging to it was not only closed but quite burried in scaffolding. / Ein Lagerraum im Fels aus dem 19ten Jahrhundert. Leider war das dazugehoerige Gartenlokal nicht nur zu, sondern hatte auch einige Baugerueste dranstehen.

So ist das ausserhalb der Saison. Ich bin mal Ende Mai durch's Engadin gefahren, mit dem Fahrrad, da hatte man echt Schwierigkeiten, abends überhaupt noch irgendwo etwas zu Essen zu kriegen, praktisch jegliche Form von Gastwirtschaft war geschlossen.

Mir macht das eigentlich nicht so viel aus. Ich meine nur als weitwinkliges Motiv machte der Laden halt garnichts her, so mitten in der Renovierung. Ein richtig gekuehltes Kaltgetraenk oder so zwischendurch waere vieleicht auch ganz nett gewesen. Aber wir hatten sehr gut aus dem Rucksack zu Mittag gegessen. Der Supermarkt kennt keine Saison und in Suedtirol gibt es bei uns fast immer flexible Vinschgerl, Scamozzini und Snacktomaten. Das schmeckt sehr gut und packt so einfach, ganz ohne Stullen auf dem Zimmer schneiden und schmieren.

No Remmelt, as far as I know it's a former brewery, but now just a popular garden restaurant serving tourists and townspeople seasonally with food -- along with drink someone else produced.

But it was April, they had to fix stuff around the buildings and it obviously was a very thourough springcleaning. It was busy, loud, dusty, with heaps of materials and tarps all over, and not open to the public. But I liked their basement access with the old iron door and took a snapshot. I certainly hope they keep that one as it is with the different visible layers, what ever else gets replaced and made nice.
